I’ve been going over to Dayton for their annual airshow for a few years now and always manage to have a great time. This year the USAF Thunderbirds were back. I’ve only seen them perform one other time in Dayton, so I was really looking forward to seeing them again.
The Thunderbirds were formed in 1953 as a demonstration team promoting the U.S. Air Force. The images tell the story best –
I love when they do this!!
Coming from four different directions, converging on one spot! Getting that shot was mostly good timing and a fair amount of luck.
I really enjoyed their show and have tons more images which I will put into a portfolio page soon. There were other performers there as well and I’ll share more from the show this week.
don’t forget, click on the images to see them larger!
