Twisted !

I’ve been going through a bunch of files, working on a project, and came across this and it just made me smile…

This funny guy is a Reddish Egret who just happens to be all twisted up.  Must be something really, really good up there to look at.  Actually, what you can’t see is another Egret coming in for a landing right over his head.  Wouldn’t want to land on that pointy bill of his!!  So what does he really look like when he’s not gazing skyward?

Sort a looks like a porcupine with feathers.  The interesting thing is he can look all slicked down, head and neck up in the air and pretty as a picture.  But when riled all the feathers come sticking out looking like a teenager with really unruly hair.

There’s always one in every bunch, right.  This is a white morph of the same bird, all calm and collected and a darn sight better looking than his more common brothers above!

don’t forget to click on the images to see them bigger and better
