Tonight’s Assignment

While I was talking to Deb this afternoon, I was given an assignment for tonight.  With the help and advice from our friend Denise Ippolito, http://deniseippolito.com/, Deb has been playing around a lot lately with different filters in photoshop and other programs.  For the most part I like what she has come up with.  I’m just not as creative in seeing the possibilities hidden in the images.  So she gave me a few hints, easy places to start, nothing too outrageous yet.

So here’s this nice, unsuspecting female bluebird sitting on a swing. Not a bad shot, clean background, nice perch and complementary colors between the subject and the background.  What oh what could we do to start pushing this image, just a little?

Looks a bit like a painting.  Very soft almost pastel colors, quite artistic…..I guess.

Of course there’s always this –

Sometimes if you push too hard, they push back!

sort of makes your head hurt
