Ok, so there are still some birds here at Bosque, even though it was a bit more quiet than our other days. It’s plain to see that at sunrise this morning the geese and cranes woke up and headed off for their day, just as we did. Since the birds were a little quieter today, it will give me a chance to show you just how beautiful this place can be. As I’ve said before, it’s all about the light…….
Another perspective on the sunrise this morning. It can go so quickly from the deep reds to these yellows and then finally when the sun peeks above the mountains…. it’s gone. Of course then so are we, chasing the birds, light and the wind.
Alright, alright, there were plenty of cranes and geese today, but look at the light on these cranes in the late afternoon, against the backdrop of the mountains.
Clouds, sky, color and texture
Just look at the soft texture of the clouds above, then at the light under his wings that almost makes them glow.
When the sun goes down, the sky just lights up like a kaleidoscope.
Love the bird shots!!! Where in Florida did you go. We want to go next year.
Your work is great! Lets go shoot sometime so you can teach me to shoot like that.
Thank you so much, Sherry. These were actually in New Mexico at a wildlife refuge called Bosque del Apache. We will have to get together and shoot sometime, I would love that. Thanks again!
