Houses, Horses and Such!

It’s early Monday morning and we’re getting ready to head back west toward Reykjavik.  Our internet connection has been down since last night but it’s back so I thought I’d do a quick post with images from yesterday and the day before.

Once you get out in the country, the architecture changes dramatically!

I just love the sod roofs and of course the view to the coastal lowlands is pretty nice.

And then there’s the horses.  These are Icelandic horses, smaller and with the really long manes.  Very friendly, they’ll come up to you and visit without being asked.  Lots of fun!

Down on the sea coast, I had to put this one in.  Black sand, dunes and the mountains!

More when we get back to Reykjavik, lots of stops in between.
