Chicks!

Not that kind!

These kinds.  Great Blue Heron chicks.  Last time I visited, the little ones were just pecking out of the nests.  These guys were up and around and just figuring out they have wings, stretching them out a bit.  At this point I think you could call them ugly ducklings, or heronlings…. whatever.
