Birds of a Feather

A reddish egret showing his stuff.

 

Also a reddish egret although a white morph, showing his stuff too!

Hard to believe these are the same birds.  In a few weeks the white morph will be into full breeding plumage with the colors of his bill really brightening up.  Pure white with the bicolored bill makes for one of the prettiest birds in my view.

Speaking of pretty birds, just had to slide this one in.  Handsome boy isn’t he?  And the interesting thing is, they are all perched in the brush.  Normally you see these guys down at the waters edge foraging for food or just hanging out.

    I love the second photo with the background complimenting the white color. Really pretty!
