The Dunes – a Perspective

Sorting through my files, I came across this the last image I took on the first morning at the Mesquite Dunes.  Go back and look at the images from “inside” the dunes and it looks like an endless sandbox.  Walk away from it and it looks like somebody just spilled a bucket of sand.  From where we parked it was about a 20 minute walk and this image gives you an idea of just how vast the landscape is out there.  The desert floor in the foreground and the mountains in the background give a unique perspective to the dunes.
