Soft Snow Days

We had snow today.  I like snow.  Snow covers all the blemishes, makes things new again and different from our everyday.  Everything appears soft, it even softens the sound, nature at her quietest. Sun, low to the horizon, still shrouded with a mantle of clouds, trying to peek through.

The sun’s warm in the sky and the pines showing just a hint green in the fading light but otherwise not so much color, so….

how does the world look in black & white?  More crisp, cold like the air, and maybe more as we see it, so much white, the colors fade to black….

or will this be more like we’ll remember it.  Very soft almost dream like with just a hint of warmth, remembering the days we played for hours in the soft, soft snow?

The sun hinting warmth and a cast of glowing color make the snow feel her softest to me! Nice comparison.

Mark, I like all three. The leading line brings you nicely into the image. We got snow too-I was out shooting a Red Fox in the snow.

Thank you both, now if I could get out a little more before it all goes away.
