Snowy Day in Alaska

It was a pretty dreary morning in Homer today.  By afternoon we were out on the boats in a light drizzle that finally turned to snow.  For a time the flakes were big as baseballs… ok, maybe not quite that big but they were huge!  This is a blur of a  Glaucous Wing Gull in the midst of the snow.

The weather sure didn’t stop the eagles from their search of the water below…

and then make the turn and dive toward the surface – upside down sometimes…

before they make for the grab!

Everyday’s a good day this week.  Be sure to click on the images to see them bigger!

Doesn’t look like the weather got in the way of your great pictures! Nice images Mark. Hard to pic a favorite, but maybe the white sky background, or the fishing the water surface, or…
