Portraits

Beautiful weather today, just had to bring out the camera and see who was playing in the yard.  Most of the time I like shooting birds in their natural habitat, mostly in the trees or in flight.  Today I put out some seed on a flat feeder we rigged up with the nice hunk of tree you see in these pictures.  Set up a little ways away and wait for the feeding to begin.  I liken this to taking photographs in a studio.  Nice green grassy background that the lens blurs into what could be a backdrop.  The birds perched on the branch waiting for their turn to feed.  Now if you would just turn your head a little to the right – perfect!

If you would click on the image above I’ve put together a slideshow of todays models – stunning darling, just stunning!

Oh, look in the upper righthand corner of the slideshow.  Click on the little “screen” and the images will go full screen.  Pretty neat.
