Death Valley is a big place.  It’s easy to lose sight of the smaller details with such a large field of view.   On the last morning at Zabriskie Point, as the sun rose higher in the sky, the shadows and light became the story.  So instead of focusing on the “big picture” I started to look at small areas of light, shadow and texture.  It’s sometimes hard to see the little details in such a large landscape, but using a longer lens allowed me to narrow the field of vision into some cool details within the overall scene.  I put together a few of these images into a short slideshow to give you some idea of the details of Death Valley.  Click on the above images to view the slideshow.
