Fred Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park

We were in Grand Rapids Michigan over the weekend and had some time on our hands so what to do.  Well, we spent part of the morning at Meijer Gardens.  It is an absolutely wonderful place, with beautiful gardens and some of the most outstanding sculptures I’ve ever seen.

Stainless steel –

Painted steel –

Intricate designs – lots of welding going on here

and some of the most incredible bronze sculptures you could imagine.  And to give you an idea of the scale of this horse……

same horse, different angle with Ellen standing under his hoof!

Denise – so good to hear from you. It really was an incredible place. If I lived there I’d have a membership just to go back in all seasons night or day. Very cool!

The second one is really cool but then I could say that to all of them. Looks like a road trip to me!
