Clear and cold around here this weekend. Yesterday when I first looked out it was 6 below zero! Warmed up a bit this morning though to a positively balmy 4 degrees. No clouds means all the heat gets sucked out over night but also means bright sunshine come the morning. With the 6 inches of new snow and the cold, cold temps, the feeders were a madhouse today. All the usual visitors with lots of the big boys around too. That would mean the blue jays and cardinals. They’re also the most colorful, especially against the pure white background of snow.
