General Dynamics F-18 Fighting Falcon! Ok, enough of the low and slow, we’re back to the future with this high performance aircraft. Upside down, sideways, straight up squeezing the moisture out of the air. It’s hard to believe that this aircraft first took to the air on December 8, 1976, 34 years ago. Since then over 4400 of these race cars in the sky have been built.
The F-16 was an innovative multi purpose fighter when introduced. A frameless canopy for better visibility, a side mounted control stick for ease of flight during high G situations and a reclined seat to reduce the effects of G forces on the pilot. This aircraft is also the choice of the United States Air Force demonstration team, The Thunderbirds. In todays little slideshow, I’ve even snuck in an image from last years Dayton air show of two aircraft from the Thunderbirds.
Soooooo…. go ahead and click on either image to see what there is to see!

I like the ones with the exhaust coming off of the wings! Sweet!
