Another long awaited adventure begins!

I am writing this from Copenhagen, Denmark, the starting point to my next adventure. My friend Steve and I flew into Copenhagen two days ago and tomorrow we begin the second leg of our journey. We are off to the Faroe Islands for 7 days of photography and hiking. In the two and a half days we’ve been here, we have had the opportunity to do a little exploring, and take a few photos which I would share with you below. Depending on internet access and our schedule, I will try to update our trip over the next week. Expecting an epic trip to a very interesting place.

Hello from Copenhagen!!!
A view of the canal at Nyhavn.

Nyhavn is a section of Copenhagen near the harbor. An incredibly vibrant place lined with restaurants along the canal, tons of people, lights and boats! It really comes alive after dark!

More from Nyhavn!
Den lille havfrue – The little mermaid

About a mile walk from Nyhavn, along the harbor front is the Little Mermaid statue. Sitting on a rock at the waters edge, it was commissioned in 1913. The bronze statue was created by Edvard Ericksen, and is a most popular spot to visit in Copenhagen.

Tree Alley

We took a 45 minute walk to a beautiful cemetery called Vestre Cemetery. It seemed more like a park than cemetery with several tree allee’s. This is one of the more dramatic ones and somewhat imposing!

That’s all for now as the real trip begins tomorrow. I hope you will come along with me as I share this trip through my photos!
